Safety Practices During COVID-19
We have implemented safety protocols to continue to see patients while still practicing physical distancing to keep our staff and community safe. When you make an appointment, our team will go over this new process with you.
If a you have COVID-19 symptoms we ask that you designate someone else to bring your pet and let our team know in advance so that proper safety precautions with animal handling can be ensured due to animals potentially carrying the virus on their coat/collar/carrier. Appointment details and treatment plans can still be completed with the client on the phone.

We are still providing services and taking appointments for anything that may be causing your pet pain or discomfort as well as for all wellness and preventative care.
Routine vaccines are available by appointment only.
We appreciate everyone being understanding during this time as we protect our team and the community while providing the essential animal care that is needed.

Meet Our Veterinarians
Gwen Gadd, D.V.M.
East Bay SPCA Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Gwen Gadd is a card carrying, non-skiing Colorado native who decided to experience life in the Bay area. She graduated with her degree in veterinary medicine from Colorado State University in 1996. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has treated everything from stray chickens and hedgehogs to the more conventional dogs and cats. On a personal level, Gwen loves getting lost with her dog Roo, photography, short story writing and pretty much anything that allows her to learn new things.
