Celebrate your birthday with the animals at East Bay SPCA!
We host parties at two locations: Oakland or Dublin!
Parties are offered for age 6 and up.
Saturdays 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Sundays 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
What does a birthday party at the East Bay SPCA entail?
- Rental of the party space for 2 hours
- Behind the scenes tour
- One dog and one cat meet-and-greet (if appropriate shelter animals are present)
- Plush dog for the birthday child
15 minutes – Welcome Guests
15 minutes – Enrichment Craft (making cat toys, adoption posters, etc.)*
30 minutes – Shelter Tour (including one cat meet-and-greet)
15 minutes – One Dog Meet-and-Greet
45 minutes – Additional Time in Birthday Room (to be used for food, cake, presents)
*Please note that in order to ensure enough time for all activities, the educator will start your party on time. If party guests arrive late, they may not be able to participate in the shelter enrichment activity at the beginning of the party.
When are birthday parties offered?
Saturdays (Dublin and Oakland): 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Sundays (Dublin and Oakland): 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Due to the popularity of our Summer Camp Program, we are unable to offer birthdays during the summer months.
What is the fee for a birthday at the East Bay SPCA?
The fee for the birthday party program is $300 and includes up to a maximum of 12 children (including the birthday child and siblings) and 1-2 adult chaperones. Birthday parties must be paid in full to secure your party date and time upon booking. For cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the party date, a refund (minus a $25 administrative fee) will be granted. For cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to the party date, no refunds will be issued and the entire party fee will be forfeited.
