Felix’s Second Chance

You’d never tell from his wagging tail and sweet disposition that Felix the dog came to us in critical condition after a dog attack.

East Bay SPCA is committed to creating a more compassionate world for people and companion animals, and it starts with healing one injured Felix at a time.

When we receive urgent cases, every minute counts. Our Shelter Medicine team immediately assessed Felix’s injuries and administered medication to prevent infection. We closely monitored his condition over the following days — and although he’d survived such a horrific experience, his tail didn’t stop wagging through every procedure, check-up, and bandage change.

Once he moved into a foster home, Felix continued to recover, and he soon found his perfect match. Now, he spends the rest of his days surrounded by love from his family.
