Urchin’s story began with a routine check-up that uncovered a serious heart murmur. Our Shelter Medicine team knew that without an expensive and complex surgery, his prognosis would be grim. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we can make these life-saving procedures possible. For this whiskered little dog with big, soulful eyes, he couldn’t have known just how lucky he was. The procedure performed by a specialist resulted in a dramatic improvement in his health in very a short time and a happy adoption tail that followed quickly after.
