Scouts Program

Scouts Program

The East Bay SPCA values the work and contributions made from Scouts each year. If your Scout group has a passion for helping animals that you wish to help them foster, please see our programs below to determine which program or project would be the best fit for your group.

Scouts visiting the shelter

Whether your group is working on a journey project, trying to earn a badge or just wants to visit the shelter for fun, our tour program is a perfect option for scouts of all ages. Many groups will use funds from cookie sales or another fundraising project to cover the suggested donation of the tour. We do our best to accommodate all requests; while you may book as little as two weeks in advance we recommend submitting a request at least two months before your desired tour date.

Scout Workshops

We offer unique scout workshops designed for scouts to complete their animal welfare related badge requirements. While we do not offer the badges at our shelter, you will learn through hands-on service-learning opportunities and educational activities all that is needed to complete a pet care badge.

If you are interested in booking a Scout Workshop, please fill out a program request form and include workshop in the notes.

Scout Projects

Are you working toward a scout badge or award? Is your troop interested in creating supplies for our shelter animals? Check out our service learning projects!

Making a donation

We love donations! The East Bay SPCA is a 501c3 and is funded solely by donations; whether your troop wants to do a food drive for our pet food pantry or has chosen to donate the proceeds from a cookie sale, we would greatly appreciate what your group has to give!  Please e-mail to schedule a time to deliver your donation. We will personally meet and thank your group and facilitate an animal meet and greet.

Please e-mail our Humane Education Department.
