Summer Camp

East Bay SPCA Animal Camp is the purr-fect fit for campers who are passionate about pets, want to make a difference for shelter animals, or just need a little experience before adding a furry friend to the family. Animal camp is both educational and fun! Campers will gain an appreciation for all living things through hands-on activities, animal interactions, pet-themed games, and take-home crafts.

Limited financial assistance is available for qualified applicants (Summer Camp Scholarship Applications are due April 1st).

SUMMER CAMP 2018:

June 4th-August 18th, 9am-3pm

$395/week (prorated during shortened holiday sessions)

Available for campers entering 1st-8th grade this fall

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:  For notice of cancellation/change given 14 days or more prior to your child’s session start date, a refund (minus $25 administrative fee will be provided).  For notice of cancellation/change given less than 14 days prior to  your child’s session start date, no refund will be granted.  We cannot transfer a camper’s enrollment to a different session or program. If you need to enroll your child in a different session than originally registered for, you will need to request a refund (less the $25 fee) and register your child for the new session through our online registration system.

PAWS & CLAWS:

A must for young animal-lovers!  This session explores what it takes to care for pets of all kinds—furry, feathered, and scaled.  Campers dive into the world of pet-ownership by fostering their very own pet-plushie for the week.  With plenty of crafts, games, and animal interactions, this camp is guaranteed to get your tail wagging!

IMPORTANT: Prior to enrolling, please make sure that your child’s age and grade are up-to-date in the registration system to reflect the grade they will be entering this fall.  If your child is signed up for a camp session for which they are not eligible, a non-refundable $25 administration fee will apply.  A camper’s space will not be held until your full payment has been submitted through our online registration system.

HUMANE HEROES:

Crazy for animals and wanting to make a paw-sitive impact?  This session investigates all of the different ways that kids can help pets in our community.  Campers will explore the world of animal welfare through innovative activities, games, and animal meet-and-greets.  Whether helping out our shelter animals, or learning about proper pet care and humane training techniques—campers are sure to leave with an understanding that it is cool to care!

K9 ACADEMY:

Make a difference in the lives of shelter dogs by providing valuable training to help them find their fur-ever homes!  This session focuses on teaching campers the skills of animal behavior and training, through games, activities, and animal interactions.  Campers will put these new skills to the test when they are paired with a shelter dog, helping the dogs to build manners and confidence, and helping our campers to build life-long memories!
