Counselor-In-Training (CIT)

The CIT position is a great opportunity for teens age 12-14 looking to gain volunteer experience with children and animals! CITs will help create a fun and welcoming camp environment by modeling desired behavior for campers, playing games, assisting campers with crafts, and maintaining clean spaces.

This position requires a minimum TWO week commitment (doesn’t have to be consecutive weeks of camp) volunteering with our Paws and Claws or Humane Heroes groups. There will be an interview process and orientation dates scheduled. The fee to participate is $100. Limited financial assistance is available!! Youth Program Assistant (YPA)

The YPA position is a great opportunity for teens age 15-17 looking to gain experience with children and animals! As a YPA, participants will assist our camp staff in leading engaging week-long sessions of Animal Camp.  YPAs will help to facilitate crafts, games, lessons, and animal meet-and-greets throughout the camp session.

This position requires a minimum FIVE week commitment (doesn’t have to be consecutive weeks of camp) volunteering with our younger camp groups. There will be an interview process and orientation dates scheduled, along with weekly coaching sessions with camp staff.

SUMMER

Counselor-In-Training (CIT)

After applying for the CIT Program, there is an in person group interview that is mandatory. It will take place on Tuesday, April 11 from 4-5 pm at our Dublin location (regardless of which site you will be volunteering at). There will not be any make up options and the group interview is mandatory.

Youth Program Assistant (YPA)

After applying for the YPA Program, there is an in person group interview that is mandatory. It will take place on Thursday, April 13th from 4-5:30 pm at our Dublin location (regardless of which site you will be volunteering at). There will not be any make up options and the group interview is mandatory.

FALL, WINTER, SPRING

For these school break camps, we will reach out directly to Youth Program Assistants (YPAs) who successfully completed at least one summer session. 

Fall Camp 2023: Nov. 20-22

Winter Camp 2023: Dates TBD based on school calendars

Spring Camp 2023: Apr. 3-7
