Support a Fund
Our Second Chance Fund pays for the extra care that older animals or special needs pets require, including surgeries, medications and/or behavior remediation before they can transition to forever homes.
Many animals come into our care with medical conditions that require attention beyond general care. Others may need extra time with behavior and training specialists to overcome behavioral issues. And lastly, there are older animals whose length of stay is generally longer than adolescents. The Club Second Chance Fund provides for the extra time and care these animals need for adoption.
Spaying and neutering pets decreases the number of cats and dogs who find themselves in shelters, homeless and abandoned. By law, all shelter animals must be spayed or neutered before they can be adopted. Additionally, the East Bay SPCA offers accessible and affordable spay and neuter surgeries at Spay & Neuter Centers in Oakland, and Dublin, CA.
The Sit, Stay Home Fund provides veterinary services to qualified low-income owners for preventive health care and/or one-time veterinary emergencies. The goal is to help more animals stay with loving guardians in healthy, happy homes rather than entering local shelters for lack of one-time resources.
