The East Bay SPCA’s youth programs promote stewardship and compassion for all living things. As early as 1912, we offered programs to local youth on caring for animals including a series of instructional programs, shelter tours and a resource library. We continue to be leaders in Humane Education, offering some of the most in-depth programs in the country and sharing our knowledge with other organizations nationwide who are looking to start or expand their own Humane Education programs.
We are especially proud of how we responded to the challenges presented by COVID-19 and remained flexible and creative so we could continue offering programs to local youth when they needed them most. Current programs include Animal Camps, online school presentations, and youth volunteering opportunities through our Shelter Scouts program. We also offer scholarships for most of our programs.
East Bay SPCA has always been an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to local animals. We do not receive funds from any other SPCA, Humane Society or animal welfare organization.
