Q. I have a maltese who is approaching 1 year old next month. I would like to bring him into the clinic to get neutered but wanted to know if the VET clinic also can extract teeth during this procedure? My maltese has several baby teeth that has not fallen out. I was wondering what the procedures are for extracting teeth and also if this can be done in the same appointment?
A. Yes we do extract retained baby teeth at the time of neutering. It costs an additional $20-$50. We do this in both our spay/neuter centers. For an appointment please call 510-639-7387 (Oakland) or 925-479-9670 (Dublin).
Q. Appropriate to spay a dog? 12 week old puppy has my home and heart but dont want any accidental litters!
A. We usually spay dogs at 16 weeks of age. So you could probably go ahead and make your appointment now, to have it done right at that age.
