ABOUT US

Q.    My dog jumped up at me and I accidentally caught him in the eye today and his eye went red for  3 minutes or so but it went down and they is no red in the eye now, but every now and then he squints but when I call him his eyes open wide and he is not squinting all the time they seem fine apart from him squinting what should I do????

A. It sounds as if you bruised the delicate tissues around the eye - in that case it may take several days for the discomfort and squinting to stop. If you think you may have scratched the eye, or you see redness or eye discharge, I would have him examined by your veterinarian.
